Morocco’s Women in Business (WIB) is set to expand to Tangier, Tetouan, and other Northern regions of Morocco. Morocco’s northern regions. The aim is to encourage entrepreneurship and support women run small and medium size Moroccan businesses.  The WIB program receives funding from the European Union and is a branch of The European Bank for Reconstruction & Development. EBRD was created in 2018 to provide female entrepreneurs access to resources such as finance, advisory, and training sessions created to make women businesses more competitive. EBRD has agreed to provide an equivalent of 35 million euros in local Moroccan currency to the BMCE Bank of Africa and BMC.
