In El Jadida, top representatives from various sectors in tourism and business will gather to eat, connect in workshops, and foster relationships. The festival finale will finish in Marrakech at Jemma El Fna. The UNESCO plaza will host New York-based Chef Nasser Jaber and Moroccan Chef Moha Fadel. Together the duo will present food demonstrations and halal fusion recipes.

By Muslim law, halal certified food must be prepared without pork. According to Mastercard-Crescent Rating Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI), Morocco has moved up from tenth to seventh place on the global scale for attractive halal destinations. Must try Moroccan halal dishes include Mrouzia, a combination of lamb and blended sweet spices, Moroccan couscous, and pastilla, a sweet and salty pie with a crunchy layer of toasted almonds, cinnamon, and powdered sugar.
