Dakhla Morocco’s Southern Pearl Hosts 5th Crans Montana Forum

The fifth annual Crans Montana Forum was held in Morocco’s southern pearl , Dakhla. Between March 14th -17th. High level figures, senior government officials, and young leaders met in this coastal city. Forum Chair Pierre-Emmanuel said the event” is a not-to-be-missed gathering for decision makers and African stakeholders regarding the South-South Cooperation.” Discussion topics included the digital revolution, universal health insurance, the development of Africa, and renewable energy; 2019’s theme was “youth, peace, and security” in Africa. Inspiring youth attendees at this year’s forum were Khadim Diop, president of the Senegali National Youth Council, Bitania Lulu Berhanu, founding executive director of Ethiopian Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA); and Pour Souleymane Satigui Sidibe, secretary general of the pan-African Union.
