Iranian born Kiya Tabassian is the artistic director and co-founder of Constantinople and will lead the band. The name Constantinople reflects Tabassian’s background as an immigrant. His family moved to Canada at age 14 and he needed to adapt quickly. “I learned how to be open-minded to people, languages, and cultures; this drives me to be curious about different musical traditions.”

The project is supported by the Quebec Government and aims to create a musical bridge and conversations between two art residencies on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Admission is Free. 10:30 -11:59 pm
