Marrakech’s Japanese Anime Otak’esh Club has announced its 3d edition Hana Kech expo will take place on December 29, 2019, at the Royal Theater. The event will bring together cosplayers, manga readers, and gaming enthusiasts. Japanese and Asian culture has inspired many Moroccan youths and as a result, the Marrakech based theme club was created in February 2014.

The festival program will include Japanese food stands and info booths featuring anime products, manga, traditional clothing, and calligraphy. There will also be a dance competition and a karaoke area. Those that plan to dress in cosplay are invited to officially register with the Otak’esh organization.

The Royal Theater Marrakech regularly hosts opera, ballet, and music shows. Its main hall receives numerous exhibitions and is a space for receptions. The Italian-French domed building was inaugurated by King Mohammed VI and designed by the architect Charles Boccara.
