On December 30, 2019, the Marrakech Fellah Hotel will present 16 artworks by Marita Fontana. The Peruvian-Italian-African self taught artist’s work is influenced by her multicultural upbringing. She places human beings at the center of her themes and portrays their complexities. Marita does not dedicate herself to one style of art, rather she makes creative choices that allow her to share her emotions and transform them into joyful expressions of colors and shapes. Her work is primarily inspired by everyday life and her memories living in Peru as a young child then moving to Australia. She returned to Lima to study publicity and business.
The exhibition will have an open bar and create a space that encourages dialogue with the artist. Marita will be available to speak about her work and explain how Moroccan and African heritage has impacted her. The exhibition will run through January 2020. It will be curated and styled by Nathali Meurs from House for Interior.
