El Jadida Festival, October 2019

The 12th Edition of El Jadida Horseman Show will take place from October 15-20, 2019. The event is organized by Salon du Cheval, which operates under the patronage of King Mohammed VI. The 2019 autumn festival theme will be “The horse in Moroccan ecosystems” in the context of geography, socio-economy, and culture. The festival will also address the horse’s identity and presence throughout Morocco’s diverse terrains and climates. The country has four distinct seasons and it is possible to go skiing and surfing in the same day.

The El Jadida Horseshow is one of the most notable in the world. The 5-day program includes workshops, activities, and networking opportunities for those interested or working in the equestrian world. Moroccans have a deep connection to the horse and therefore it is a part of the Kingdom’s national heritage.

The Salon du Cheval was established in El Jadida in 2008 and works to develop the Moroccan equestrian sector. El Jadida is a port city on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. It was captured by the Portuguese in 1502 and has a Portuguese citadel that dates back to 1514.
