Abstract Art, Arthur Dorval

On December 13, 2019, at 6pm, the Marrakech David Bloch Gallery will present an exposition by Arthur Dorval. The French painter’s Flash/OffShore series features colorful geometric images that have built the thirty-two-year-old a strong reputation worldwide. The winter vernissage will be the first time Dorval presents a personal exhibition at David Bloch. His audience will be taken into a world of 3D cubes, prisms, and other polygons that playfully interact with one other.

Dorval’s abstract art is a part of a geometric movement that has origins in the 20th century. Alongside his peers Alberto Magnelli, Auguste Herbin and Victor Vasarely, he has watched the motion evolve. His own creations have been likened to architectural drawings. Dorval was first recognized for Geometric Hatchings (2010) and shortly after for his Composition No.2 collection. His work has been shown throughout Europe, Morocco, and the United States.

The exhibition will be run through January 11, 2019.
