Global Lifestyle Brand Nobu to Open in Marrakech, Morocco
The Global Lifestyle Brand Nobu has plans to open a luxury property in Marrakech, Morocco in August 2021. Nobu Hospitality was originally founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper. This Moroccan venture is a unique collaboration between the Hivernage Collection, MC Hotels (the owners of the Nobu Hotel Marbella, Marbella Club Hotel and joint owners of the Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay) and Nobu Hospitality.
Current plans include transformation of the Pearl Hotel into Nobu Hotel and restaurant. The property will be well situated in the Hivernage district, just steps from historic Djemaa el-Fna Square and the bustling city souks.
Plans for Nobu are for it to lead as a Marrakech luxury lifestyle destination inclusive of 71 spacious guest rooms and suites, a selection of dynamic dining venues and rooftop spaces, a massive 2,000 sq. ft elegant spa and fitness center, along with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
In 2019 TripAdvisor ranked Marrakech ninth in its top 10 Traveler’s Choice Destinations in the World. King Mohammed VI’s “Tourism Development Strategy Vision 2020” plan has continued to be the driving force behind foreign investment in Morocco’s tourism sector.
