On Saturday, December 21, 2019, from 5pm – 11pm the Kussuf collective will exhibit Meteora, an immersive mapping installation. The cosmic art event will be complemented by a line up of modern music and take place at the Casablanca Uss Seamen’s Club. It is a celebration of the December 14th Geminids Meteor Shower which precedes the December 26th solar eclipse. Geminids are known as the king of meteor showers. These meteors were discovered in 1983 from an extinct comet. On the 14th, stargazers worldwide will have a chance to watch the sky fill with shooting stars. The solar eclipse will appear on December 26, 2019. It will move from eastern Europe through Asia and end in Australia. A partial eclipse viewing will be visible from Morocco and other northeast African countries.

Kussuf (eclipse in Arabic) is a Moroccan based art organization that aims to bridge different art forms and cultures with science and technology. The Uss Seamen club is located in Casablanca and has served men and women working on ships since 1952.
