Mohsin Attaf Awarded Gold Medal at Judo Championships in Borneo

Morocco’s martial arts fans have one more victory to celebrate at the close of 2019. Mohsin Attaf, a 43-year-old Moroccan judoka artist was recently awarded the gold medal at the Judo Championships in Borneo. Upon accepting the award on December 9, 2019, Attaf acknowledged his Moroccan homeland.

“I dedicate this victory to King Mohammed VI, to my family, more precisely my father, and to all the Moroccans whom I represent”, he told the Moroccan Press Agency (MAP).

Prior to winning the gold medal in Borneo, Attaf had been preparing for the Open Judo Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia (November 2019) where he placed bronze. He also competed at the Copa de Malaysia (December 2019) and won the silver medal.

Although Attaf is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he is often quoted and photographed sharing praises for his North African homeland.
