Morocco has officially teamed up for a domestic project with Bosch-Siemens, Europe’s largest household appliance manufacturer. The corporation has held a subsidiary in Casablanca since 2008 and the new developments will make Bosch-Siemens an integral part of kingdoms’ vision to create Morocco’s first domestic appliance ecosystem. Their goal is to do this by 2023 and hit an exportation value of 1.65 Million MAD. The project also anticipates creating 2000 new jobs.

The official announcement was made on July 16th, 2019 by Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Morocco’s Minister for Industry. The memorandum states that 15 Moroccan companies will participate and deliver materials for Bosch Siemens to build the products. Companies Virmousil and Sigit have already signed on for the new plan.

Virmousil is based in Tangier and specializes in manufacturing automotive cable harnesses. Sigit is a key partner of automobile manufacturers. It has bases in Kenitra and Tangier. Construcciones Gravalos SA, a Spanish Automotive and Domestic manufacturer and distributor will also get involved. They will invest 40 Million MAD into an induction plate plant.
