Through December 6, 2019, Casablanca’s Centre for Excellence in Information Technology (CEIT) will be running an online program in collaboration with its partner school in India. The Big Data Analytics E-Course is the first online joint partnership between CEIT and the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC).

The schools first partnered in 2017. Since then CEIT has educated over 500 Moroccans in the classroom. The e-course is a pioneer program and will set a precedent for future online initiatives. Out of 80 applicants, 28 students were accepted. They will be taught by a series of video conferences and lectures.

The program is part of a larger strategy for India to gain a stronger trade presence in Morocco. They recognize the kingdom as a key gateway to the other parts of Africa and Europe. After China, India is Morocco’s largest trading partner.
