On May 29th, 2019 a new DHL facility will launch operation in Northern Morocco’s port city Tangier. The deal has been set up between DHL forwarding and the Tanger Med port complex. It will provide customers with end-to-end solutions like customs clearance, supply chain management, and freight services. Tangier, the Bride of the North, serves a gateway into Europe, Morocco, and the rest of Africa. The aim of the operation is to help large multinationals and logistical operators optimize their flow of goods into Europe and Africa. The 6,000 m2 DHL facility will be located in Tangier’s Logistics Free Zone ( ZFL). The ZFL territory, a 30-minute drive from central Tangier, boosts a wide range of warehouses, offices, and bare serviced land; it was launched in 2008 to support a global flow of market activities for over 600 million customers. ZFL is also a stock holding point for distributors.
