This past March, Oussama Idrissi, a 23 year old winger from the Netherlands Dutch Az Alkmaar football club played his first match with the Morocco Atlas Lions against Malawi. The decision to leave Dutch Eredivisie came about after reflecting the best way to forward his career. Idrissi was born and raised in the Netherlands, however, both his parents are Moroccan. Although he appreciates ” the beautiful standards and values of the country, I wanted to get the most out of myself”. The Atlas Lion’s coach Herve Renard is excited to potentially include him in the African Cup of Nations, to be held this June in Egypt.
