Morocco Investment Fund Aims to Finance 300 Start Ups By 2022
Since 2017, technology companies in Morocco have been successful in securing investment funding. In 2018, Magnitt, a Moroccan startup directory reported that $893 was raised between Morocco and the MENA region. The Moroccan Investment Fund ( MII) financed 68 companies between 2017 and 2019. Six startups were granted 34 million MAD while 62 received 12.3 million MAD. By 2022, the Central Guarantee Fund, which manages MII, must finance at least 300 start ups. The funding will go to projects involved in information technology, agriculture, and manufacturing industries.
