Marrakech To Host Morocco’s First International Tango Festival

Marrakech will host the first International Tango Festival in Morocco from October 17-October 20, 2019.  During the three-day festival, internationally renown dance maestros will teach classes and run their tango demonstrations. The festival will close with a Farewell Milonga & Show.

The Maestros include Adrian and Amanda Costa, two of the most influential, admired performers and teachers in the international tango world. They dance in the Villa Urquiza style.

Other performers are Maria Filali & Diego Riemer will also dance. Maria is a classically trained dancer and has been dancing for twenty years. She regularly performs at international dance festivals. Diego is from Buenos Aires and has studied the dance from tango masters in Argentina. Maestro Jorge Rodriguez is an artist with an extensive resume. His career has been dynamic and is dedicated to passing on his passion for tango, theater, and the stage. He will dance with Cecile Brus.

Classes will take place daily at the Pavillon Maya (along the Route de’ Ourika).
