Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has announced significant renewable energy goals for Morocco of 42% by 2020. Morocco is setting the trend in Africa with its renewable energy movement. King Mohammed VI of Morocco has announced exceptional renewable energy goals of 42% by 2020. King Mohammed VI commissioned a massive one-of-a-kind Solar Program in Ouarzazate called Noor, set to power most of North Africa and parts of Europe. In 2018 the leading Monarch launched new wind plants in Midelt and Taza. By 2020, Morocco’s aim is to make 42% the key number in renewable energy to electricity ratio.
