On February 25-27, 2002, the 9th Solar Expo will return to Casablanca. The event is considered one of Africa’s most innovative regarding solar energy and energy efficiency. In 2019, the showcase reported nearly 8000 visitors and 104 exhibitors. For three days, the forum will bring together key players in Morocco’s national renewable energy and sustainability programs. Attendees will have a chance to discover more of the country’s plans to achieve 52% of its electricity from clean energy by 2030. At the moment, 35% comes from solar energy and other relevant sources.
Morocco has positioned itself as a leader in sustainability and the green movement. In 2019, Morocco launched it’s first fully solar-powered village in Id Mjahdi.
