Morocco may be getting another popular outlet added to its list of favorite shopping destinations. Mango, a Spanish clothing brand based in Barcelona was recently quoted in MDS Global Fashion Business Journal. The large European retailer said that in spite of closing shops in Morocco one year ago, they want to reset their eyes back on Africa. They already have 51 store networks in the world’s second-largest continent. Recently, a Mango was opened in Angola and there are plans in 2020 for one in South Africa. In Morocco, they will target all the main cities. Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca, and Tangier.
The company’s decision to return to the North African Kingdom is based on its new partnership with the Maltese group Hudson. The African partner to Nike has a strong track record for using its Maltese logistics hub to speed up the growth of companies supplying the African Market.
