Morocco is one of the few countries in the world that grants students the privilege of going to public university for free. In addition to this, the Moroccan Kingdom is recognized for being generous in distributing scholarships.
As of the academic year 2018-2019, the Moroccan Minister of Education, Said Amzazi, was quoted informing parliament that 95% of students attending university are receiving government grants and aid, largely based on the student’s financial needs and academics. The scholarships assist students to pay for their school and living expenses, and open doors to pursue international studies abroad. Currently, the Moroccan government is working on offering scholarships to 100% of students.
