From October 6-14, 2019 the 2nd Annual Interdisciplinary Summer School will take place in Marrakech. The workshop is sponsored by the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Practical Wisdom Society. Both associations are offering full scholarships to a select group of students with Doctoral (Ph.D.) and advanced Masters accreditations.
The workshop theme will explore Identity in Transition, therefore encouraging candidates from diverse backgrounds and fields to apply. Topics that will be explored include what happens to one’s identity when their socioeconomic status enters into a higher bracket, what occurs to an identity when someone emigrates, and the transition that takes place when a student becomes a director, entrepreneur or employee.
Marrakech’s 2nd Annual Interdisciplinary Summer School will take place in October 2019.
Applicants who would like to be considered for the program are required to send a CV, a motivation letter, and a description of the kind of project they would like to present and develop during the workshop. The application deadline is Monday, July 15, 2019.
The scholarship will cover full travel expenses, participation in the workshop, including related programming in Morocco’s rich cultural environment, and shared accommodation in a 5-star hotel.
The honorable values behind the scholarship offered by the Hanns Seidel Foundation are a combination of believing that society should support business ethics, a Practical Wisdom Society and that each generation must receive a political education and understand democracy.
