Some recommendations on where to Dine in El Jadida.

Ali Baba

This favorite is a refreshing change from strictly seafood with a predominantly French menu supported by seafood. Newly renovated, the now bright and cheerful interior is charming yet keeping a touch of Moroccan flair in its decor.
With starters such as artichoke and crab, a main of kidney in mustard sauce served with sauteed potatoes, and dessert of strawberries and cream, guests can leave with a happy and satisfied tummy.
Digestifs and apertifs are offered to pair along with each chosen meal.

Restaurant Due Port

Located just 50 meters from the sea, fresh fish is inevitable. Specializing in fish, the menu is ever – changing, depending on what comes in for the day. Steak is about the only other choice so come if you love fish! There is also a fairly good wine and beer list to pair with a meal or quench the thirst. A local haunt for over two decades, it has been recently renovated. Guests can dine inside at a proper table with linen table cloths or ask for a table to be set outside on warmer days, sit back in a chair and watch local boys diving from the ramparts and the fishing boats coming in with catch of the day.

Bellevue

Situated on the fifth floor with stunning views of the park and the sea, Bellevue’s design is contemporary with floor to ceiling windows and smart linen topped tables. A band plays each night at 9:00 creating a chilled vibe with its posh clientele.
The menu is French leaning toward an array of fish dishes as well. You can choose from a daily set menu or order from the menu – crab salad to start, filet de boeuf done as you like or perhaps salmon tagliatelle. Pare it with a wine and finish with one of the delectable desserts.
Reservations are recommended.

Morjana
This brightly decorated and cheerful place has an animated feel, with its central dining area and series of secluded booths decked out as Berber tents. A good location in the central medina just off the main square for people watching or checking out a football match on the television screen.
Flavourful Moroccan standards are the order of the day – fish tagines and couscous plates – plus a paella that’s worth the extra wait. Food is prepared fresh and served quickly – dishes tend to appear while you’re still finishing the previous course!
