41st King Faisal International Prize, Professor Oudghiri Awarded $200,000 For Arabic Language & Literature Category. Moroccan University Professor, Abdelali Mohamed Oudghiri, received the 41st Prize of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia in the Arabic Language & Literature category.
The prize recognizes outstanding work in five categories: Service to Islam, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language and Literature, Medicine, and Science.
Prize winners are evaluated on their merit and work, the selection process is set at international levels. Many of the winners have received highly coveted awards, like the Nobel Prize. The award is valued at $200, 000 and was handed to Dr. Oudghiri at a ceremony at the Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.
