Located in a 19th century Riad in the heart of the Marrakech medina lies an impeccably restored riad by perfumer, Abderrazzak Benchaâbane. This Moroccan riad was renovated in 2006 and coined as Marrakech’s only perfume museum. The museum offers visitors a chance to discover the the art of perfume; from distillation to bottling through composition to the perfume organ. The various rooms of the museum describe the different stages of transformation of the raw materials used in the composition of perfumes, cosmetics and body care products. Visitors have the opportunity to create their own perfume thanks to the tailor-made perfume creation workshops hosted at the perfume bar.

About Abderrazzak Benchaâbane & The Perfume Museum:
The Museum opened on March 18th 2017. Benchaâbane is an Ethnobotanist, Teacher and perfumer. One of his aims is to transmit the transport perfumes as part of the Art of Living in Morocco and introduce his passion to the general public.
The Majorelle Gardens: Abderrazzak Benchaâband is the one who revived the Marjorelle Gardens for Yves St Laurent at the end of the 20th century. In 2001, Yves St Laurent requested Abderrazzak use his knowledge of plants and perfumes to create Jardin Marjorelle Eau de Toilette, that launched in 2002. Since then, his company has developed internationally recognized perfumes, including Soir de Marrakech.
