On January 4th, 2020, Marrakech’s Fondation Farid Belkahia will arrange private visits with two laureates of the Academy of Traditional Arts of Casablanca
. Ms. Zineb Akkabouch and Mr. Abdellah Ouabderrahmane were chosen on December 20, 2019
to receive the first-ever Farid Belkahia Prize. Until January 14, 2020, the Foundation will house in its conference room “Diwan Al Majalis” a photo exhibition of the winners. The prize awarded is 25,000 Dhs ($250) offered by the Moroccan Banque Populaire Foundation.
In attendance at the award ceremony was Mr. Khalil Mouallif, the Director of the Academy of Traditional Arts Casablanca and the two Moroccan master craftsmen, Maitre Bellamine and Maitre Alaoui Mdaghri.
The private visit at the Fondation Farid Belkahia is organized as part of the second edition of Marrakech Art Week. The limited program begins at 10:30 am and must be scheduled in advance by reserving in advance.
