The Cinema Renaissance in Rabat, has been chosen to host the 4th Edition of the Moroccan Adventure Film Festival. From December 12-14, 2019, filmgoers can vicariously and travel the world through cinema inspired by true-life stories.
Last year the festival featured Wild Mama Cest Encore Loin Le Desert (Mom, Is It Still Far From The Desert?). The film was directed by Aurélia Tazi & Charlène Gravel. It explored self-knowledge, motherhood, and education. This incredible story chronicles the journey that the protagonist Aurelia Tazi makes with her three daughters aged four, six, and eight. Together with their mule they leave Marrakech and embark on a 600 km adventure to cross the Atlas Mountains. The journey is an optimistic story and is about realizing a dream. The film won the Jury Prize- South West Award.
In addition to the scheduled films, masterclasses, workshops, and discussions on travel topics will take place. The festival is family-friendly.
The films will play from 2pm to 10pm daily. All selected titles are in alignment with the festival’s core message: to help the audience rediscover the world.
The Moroccan Adventure Film Festival is part of the International Festival of Adventure Film La Rochelle. Since 2011 the organization has been a 1% for the Planet Member. Its core values include working for the preservation of the environment and biodiversity.
