Morocco has been chosen as a location for the PGA Tour for the 2020 golf championships. The city of Marrakech is one of two new locations added to this year’s roster. The Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri is the other. The Marrakech PGA schedule of the tour will take place at the Samanah Golf Club from January 27 – February 1, 2020. The 18 hole, par 72, 6700-meter championship course, was voted 2017 Best Golf Course Designer of the Year at the World Golf Awards. It was designed by the golf world-renowned architectural brand Nicklaus Design.
The PGA Tour will be hosted in four countries and 18 US states. It will feature 27 events and end with the fifth annual Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs. There is a prize money total amassing to approximately $59 million.
