On December 13, 2019, Gallery Kent of Tangier, one of the city’s known contemporary galleries, will showcase the work of five talented winners from the National Institute of Beaux Arts (INBA). The young artists featured include Inssaf Asri, Omayma El Guerssifi, Khadija Jayi, Mohamed Noujmi, and Mouhcine Rahaoui. The artwork will be centered around the theme of women’s creation. The opening aims to highlight Northern Morocco’s artists and strengthen the creative exchange between Tangier and Tetouan. The artists and leaders of the community will be present at the gallery opening which will serve as an opportunity of engagement for attendees to connect with those part of the North African art movement. They include Ouazzani- the former director of INBA and Aziza Laraki- the owner of Gallery Kent.
The program will also collaborate with the Tangier Cervantes Institute. The Spanish language school will host the artist’s projects from January 13-February 4, 2020.
The Gallery Kent event will commence at 7pm and the exhibit will run for one month.
