Chefchaouenon is known as the “Blue” City in northwest Morocco situated in the Rif Mountains, located inland from Tangier and Tetouan. Its blue-glazed houses serve as a magnificent backdrop for shopping in its old medina filled with local artisans that create hand-made goods ranging from woodwork to woven carpets, blankets and scarves, impressive earthen round pottery and hand-painted furniture.
BAZAR HICHAM
/p> Known for its weaving culture, and given its cool winter climate, the ponchos, blankets, and djellabas produced in
Chefchaouen is top quality. We rarely leave empty handed when visiting the shop as goods are produced in both
wool and silk. It’s worth a visit just to listen and see to the artisan handweaving his next project on the loom.
